Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Harpenden seeks a skilled Service Mechanic/Technician for a premier independent workshop. You will perform A&B manufacturer-standard servicing, oil changes, filter replacements, and health checks on VAG, Porsche, and JLR, plus routine wear-and-tear maintenance.

Requires NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and a valid UK driving licence; experience with VAG/JLR brands is a plus. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with one Saturday morning per month and a

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair accepted.
• Proven track record as a Service Mechanic/Technician.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Execute A & B manufacturer-standard servicing, oil changes, filter replacements and fluid flushes for VAG, Porsche and JLR.
• Carry out multi-point vehicle health checks and pre-MOT preparation checks.
• Perform routine wear-and-tear maintenance: brakes, discs, shocks, suspension bushings and tyres.
• Use diagnostic reset tools for service interval resets, software updates and fault-code scanning.
