Job summary

Mechanic Prestige Automotive Restoration & Engineering in Leicester is seeking a skilled Hydraulics Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild and test hydraulic and mechanical components for prestigious vehicles. You will join a specialist engineering team dedicated to restoring luxury and classic cars to the highest standards.

As a hands-on technician, you will fault-find, solve problems and apply precision engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hydraulics Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Fitter.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for engineering and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Strip, inspect and rebuild specialist vehicle components.
• Repair and refurbish hydraulic steering systems and assemblies.
• Build and test hydraulic units to strict quality standards.
• Support restoration, refurbishment and remanufacturing projects.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and assembly work.
• Complete workshop documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
