Job summary

Apex Resource Management Ltd is recruiting a Power Press Setter/Operator for a Long Eaton-based role. The position offers a rate of £17.78 per hour including shift allowance, rising to £18.55 per hour depending on skills and experience.

You will work a rotating Mornings/Afternoons pattern within a busy production environment. The contract is Temporary-to-Permanent with 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Power Press Setter/Operator.
• Valid Power Press Certificate would be beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Strong communication with colleagues across departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical and hydraulic presses.
• Set and adjust press machinery to production needs.
• Inspect, audit and sign off own work to quality standards.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain safe working practices in the press shop.
• Assist with development/improvement of tooling.

Power Press Setter/Operator

Location: Long Eaton

Rate: £17.78 per hour including shift allowance, rising to £18.55 per hour including shift allowance depending on skills and experience.

Contract: Temporary-to-Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Power Press Setter/Operator to join a well-established engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Power Press Setter/Operator to secure a long-term position with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.

The Role

As a Power Press Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting, adjusting and operating a range of mechanical and hydraulic presses within a busy production environment. You will ensure products meet the required quality standards whilst maintaining safe working practices at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of mechanical and hydraulic presses.
• Set and adjust press machinery to meet production requirements.
• Inspect, audit and sign off your own work against quality standards.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain safe working practices within the press shop.
• Assist with the development and improvement of new tooling.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Power Press Setter/Operator.
• Valid Power Press Certificate would be beneficial.
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative.

Hours:

39-hours per week.
Monday to Thursday and on Friday

14.00 -22.00 Monday to Thursday and on Friday

Pay Rates:

£16.22 per hour + £1.56 per hour shift allowance
Raising to £16.99 per hour + £1.56 per hour shift allowance
