Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting a full-time Press Machine Operator in Tamworth. This permanent role follows a temporary period, with day shifts and the chance to move to a permanent setter position. You will operate heavy-duty presses up to 300 tonnes and perform basic routine maintenance.

You must have at least six months experience running power or hand press machinery or other basic machine sets. You will be expected to uphold high health and safety standards, closely monitor light

Reporting to the Tamworth site, this full-time Press Machine Operator role with Pertemps North Midlands offers a permanent contract after a temporary period. Working day shifts, you will operate heavy duty presses up to 300 tonnes and perform basic routine maintenance. Key responsibilities include upholding high health and safety standards and remaining mindful of light guards. The role requires at least six months experience running power or hand press machinery, or other basic machine sets. Overtime and staff socials are available. The hourly rate is £12.71 to £13. Full-time temp to perm opportunity Favourable day shifts Overtime opportunities / staff socials We are actively recruiting for x2 press operators for a leading manufacturing business in the Tamworth area, easily accessible from Lichfield, Walsall, and Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and to enhance your own skill-sets in the production/engineering space. Due to the pace of the role and the high target demands, we are seeking those with at least 6 months experience in running power / hand press machinery, or at the very least other basic machine sets.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and carrying out basic routine maintenance on a range of heavy duty presses (up to 300ton)
• Being mindful of light guard and upholding high standards of health & safety in all that you do
• Quality assuring your own work and updating SAP system
• Packaging and palletising products end of line
• Seeking technical support for any significant machinery issues

It is essential that all applicants can demonstrate some prior experience as machine or line operator.

Hours of work: 0700-1600 Monday to Thursday / 0700-1200 Fridays

Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour + Overtime + Reviews to support people on training pathway to become full setters
