Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Talent Solutions is recruiting a permanent Press Operator for a well-established manufacturing company in Birmingham. You will operate power presses and associated equipment to produce high-quality components to engineering drawings and customer specs, while helping the team meet daily targets.

The role offers full training with clear progression and pay increases as you develop, a 38-hour week, rotating shifts, and an attractive hourly rate with shift allowance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience operating power presses (20T-250T).
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate power presses ranging from 20 to 250 tonnes.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and quality specs.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
• Ensure products meet quality standards before progressing.
• Work with Supervisors, Coordinators and Engineers to maximise production efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and report faults or issues.
