Job summary

Stevenage Sheet Metal Co. Ltd is seeking a CNC press brake operator to set and operate CNC press brakes, producing precision components for both large and small batch work in a busy workshop.

You will mainly work with stainless steel and aluminium, reading and interpreting engineering drawings with accuracy, checking parts against drawings, and taking initiative to keep production moving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating a Trumpf press brake (or other CNC press brakes).
• Confidence reading and working to engineering drawings.
• A strong eye for detail and ownership of the quality of your work.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC press brakes, mainly on stainless steel and aluminium.

Letchworth Garden City | £18 to £20 per hour (up to £41.6k p.a.) + overtime + £2k new starter bonus

The role

You’ll join our press brake team, setting and operating CNC press brakes to produce precision components across both large and small batch work.

• Setting and operating CNC press brakes, mainly on stainless steel and aluminium

• Using your own initiative to keep work moving in a busy, fast-paced workshop

What we’re looking for

What you’ll get

• £18 to £20 per hour depending on experience (up to £41.6k p.a.)
• £2k new starter bonus, paid within your first year
• Overtime available as and when the business needs it (at x1.5)
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm, 40-hour week
