Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Press Brake Operative to join their Bradford (BD4) team. You will bend and form sheet metal, set up tooling, and read engineering drawings to meet job specifications. The role requires a good understanding of English, the ability to meet deadlines, and the option to work independently or with a team.

Ongoing work with an ASAP start is available, with PPE required and a focus on safety. Shift: Mon–Thu 8:00–16:30, Fri 8:00–15:30; 39 paid hours per week.

Qualifications

• Good command of English.
• Ability to meet deadlines, be organised, and work either solo or as part of a team.
• Experience operating press brake machinery in manufacturing or engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal components.
• Set up machinery and select appropriate tooling per job specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Load, position and handle metal sheets safely.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve required dimensions and bend angles.
• Inspect finished components for quality.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, verniers, angle gauges).
• Identify and report faults or quality issues.
• Carry out basic machine checks and cleaning.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet production deadlines.

Work Timings- Mon to Thus- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM & Fri- 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

39 hours paid/week

Must have appropriate PPE.

• Operate press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal components.
• Set up machinery and select appropriate tooling according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Load, position and handle metal sheets safely.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve the required dimensions and bend angles.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Use measuring equipment, including callipers, verniers and angle gauges.
• Identify and report any machine faults, defects or quality issues.
• Carry out basic machine checks and routine cleaning.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work effectively with colleagues to meet production deadlines and targets.
• Previous experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Pay Rate : £15.59/hr PAYE
