Job summary

Doccla is redefining virtual care with a hybrid team and offices in London, Denmark, Germany, and Stockholm. We are seeking a Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist to support patients in our virtual care model, focusing on medication optimisation, safety, and reducing hospital admissions.

You will collaborate with GPs and healthcare professionals, conduct structured medication reviews, and ensure clear patient communication while embracing remote workflows and an early-stage growth environment.

Qualifications

  • Independent Prescriber (IP) status.
  • Completion of the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP).
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Previous experience working within a GP practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured medication reviews.
  • Process and respond to specialist treatment letters.
  • Support care homes with medication-related needs.
  • Assist with practice dispensary operations.
  • Process hospital discharge letters.
  • Act as the primary contact for medication queries within the practice.
  • Work with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe prescribing.
  • Support patient understanding and adherence via clear communication.

What You’ll Do As a Prescribing Pharmacist

We are looking for a Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist to support patients within Doccla’s virtual care model.

You will play a key role in medication optimisation, supporting patient safety, that will help to prevent exacerbations and acute hospital admissions, allowing patients to have better management of their long term condition symptoms.

  • Support patient understanding and adherence through clear, tailored communication
What We’re Looking For
  • Independent Prescriber (IP) status
  • Completion of the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP)
  • Previous experience working within a GP practice
  • Minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • Confidence working in a busy primary care environment
  • Ability to adapt communication style for both patients and healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
Desirable
  • Clinical Diploma (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience working with remote or digital healthcare models
