Job summary

Zero2Five is partnering with a high-quality independent day nursery in Hither Green, seeking a Level 3 Room Leader to head the Preschool Room and drive children's learning and wellbeing.

The role focuses on leading the room, supporting a team, planning engaging activities, and embedding EYFS practice to promote school readiness in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding.
• Experience working with preschool aged children.
• Passion for childrens learning and development.
• Confident, organised and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room.
• Lead and support the room team, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support childrens learning and development.
• Embed the EYFS into everyday practice.
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families.
• Complete observations, assessments and next steps.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Support childrens independence, confidence and school readiness.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed.
• Support and guide staff within the room.
• Work closely with management to maintain high standards.
• Attend training and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery.
