Job summary

Wildflower Day Nursery in Marston Moretaine is seeking a Preschool Room Leader to guide a dynamic team and nurture a room where children grow in confidence and curiosity. The role focuses on creating an engaging, supportive environment and inspiring daily learning through purposeful play.

The successful candidate will lead by example, build strong relationships with families, and contribute to outstanding practice to help children prepare for their next steps in school.

Qualifications

• Preschool practice knowledge.
• Leadership experience or prior management of a room.

Responsibilities

• Lead a vibrant Preschool Room where every child feels confident and excited to learn.
• Create an inspiring environment with opportunities to explore, question, investigate and imagine.
• Plan meaningful experiences to build early literacy, communication, math thinking, creativity and independence.
• Support children emotionally to develop resilience, friendships, confidence and self-belief.
• Lead and coach a diverse team, including apprentices, to develop talent and maintain high standards.
• Work closely with families and local schools to ensure smooth transitions into Reception.

Leading a vibrant Preschool Room where every child feels confident, capable and excited to learn.

Creating an inspiring environment full of opportunities to explore, question, investigate and imagine.

Planning meaningful experiences that build early literacy, communication, mathematical thinking, creativity and independence, ensuring every child is ready for their next adventure at school.

Supporting children emotionally as they develop resilience, friendships, confidence and self-belief.

Leading your team with warmth, consistency and encouragement, helping experienced practitioners flourish whilst coaching apprentices and developing future talent.

Working closely with families and local schools to ensure every child enjoys a smooth, positive transition into Reception.

Championing outstanding practice and ensuring every day is filled with laughter, curiosity and meaningful learning.

Celebrating every achievement, whether it's writing their name for the first time, solving a tricky problem, making a new friend or proudly putting on their own coat.
