Job summary

The Treehouse Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club is seeking a dedicated Pre-School Practitioner for our Ingrave site. This permanent role is term-time only, with hours from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and includes opportunities to contribute to a caring learning environment for our children.

You will be a key person for your group, delivering enriching activities, maintaining documentation and safeguarding, and upholding Ofsted expectations with a strong emphasis on equality and

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required (sponsorship not offered).

Responsibilities

• Be responsible as a key person for your own key children.
• Create strong parent relationships.
• Deliver a range of exciting and enriching activities and experiences for the children.
• Update children's online learning journals with quality observations and routine checks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and ensure Ofsted requirements are met.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and emergency protocols.
• Uphold the company's Equality policy and inclusive practice.
• Monitor safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.

Working 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday Term Time Only.

Key Responsibilities of our Pre-School Practitioner:

• Be responsible as a key person for your own key children.
• To create strong parent relationships.
• To deliver a range of exciting and enriching activities and experiences for the children.
• To update children's online learning journals with quality observations and routine checks.
• Gain a clear understanding of policies and procedures, statutory welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations and requirements and to ensure these are maintained at all times.
• To have a clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. fire, lockdown, accident & incident procedures.
• To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• To ensure that the Pre-School conforms to and exceeds the requirements of Ofsted.
• To uphold and ensure a high standard of care throughout the Pre-School
• To implement and maintain the company’s Equality policy ensuring that children, parents and the staff team are valued and practice is positive and non-discriminatory.
• To monitor any safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
