Job summary

The Treehouse Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club is seeking a passionate Pre-School Practitioner for our Wickford site. You will act as a key person for a group of children, providing enriching activities and maintaining high safeguarding and Ofsted standards.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 or 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification.

Responsibilities

• Be the key person for your own key children.
• Build strong relationships with parents.
• Deliver a range of engaging activities for children.
• Update online learning journals with observations and checks.
• Follow policies, welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations.
• Follow emergency procedures (fire, lockdown, accidents).
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure Pre-School meets Ofsted requirements.
• Maintain high standard of care across Pre-School.
• Uphold Equality policy and ensure non-discrimination.
• Monitor safeguarding issues per local authority procedures.

Hours: All year round. 4 days a week. 7:30am-6:30am.

All year round. 4 days a week. 7:30am-6:30am.

Key Responsibilities of our Pre-School Practitioner:

• Be responsible as a key person for your own key children.
• To create strong parent relationships.
• To deliver a range of exciting and enriching activities and experiences for the children.
• To update children's online learning journals with quality observations and routine checks.
• Gain a clear understanding of policies and procedures, statutory welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations and requirements and to ensure these are maintained at all times.
• To have a clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. fire, lockdown, accident & incident procedures.
• To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• To ensure that the Pre-School conforms to and exceeds the requirements of Ofsted.
• To uphold and ensure a high standard of care throughout the Pre-School
• To implement and maintain the company’s Equality policy ensuring that children, parents and the staff team are valued and practice is positive and non-discriminatory.
• To monitor any safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
