Job summary

Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard, part of Leigh Academies Trust, seeks an enthusiastic Class Teacher - Preschool to lead our early years provision and provide the best start for our youngest learners. The role focuses on nurturing, safeguarding, and delivering a high-quality EYFS curriculum in a welcoming environment.

You will collaborate with a strong MAT network, benefit from CPD and have access to devices as part of Leigh's digital strategy.

Qualifications

• DfE-recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, plus a degree in a relevant subject.
• Strong background in a primary or early years setting with SEN experience is a bonus.
• Energetic, collaborative leader with excellent communication and passion for inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running, staffing, and high standards of care and education in our preschool setting.
• Manage and mentor Deputy Managers and Preschool Assistants, fostering a warm, family-friendly environment.
• Deliver a rich early years curriculum while ensuring EYFS principles are met and supporting SEN identification and early interventions.
