Job summary

Greencore Northampton is seeking a Nut Pod production operative to support high-risk production areas, handling ingredients to the highest quality and safety standards.

The role involves preparing and processing raw materials, with full training provided. It is physically demanding, with regular manual handling, and requires good numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail. Flexibility and teamwork are essential for this shift-based position.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the Nut Pod preparation area ensuring quality and safety.
• Prepare and process raw materials and ingredients used in production.
• Perform manual handling; this role is physically demanding.
• Full training will be provided; prior experience in food prep desirable but not essential.
• Role based in Nut Pod area with nuts/nut-based ingredients.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will play a key role within our Nut Pod preparation area, ensuring ingredients are prepared and handled to the highest quality, food safety, and production standards.
• Working as part of the high-risk production team, you will prepare and process raw materials and ingredients used in the manufacture of our products.
• This is a physically demanding role that involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Previous food preparation or food handling experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Please note that this role is based within our Nut Pod area, where nuts and nut-based ingredients are handled and processed. Therefore, this position may not be suitable for individuals with nut allergies due to the nature of the working environment.
