Job summary

Greencore, Carlyon Road Industrial Estate, Atherstone, is recruiting for a full-time production role. You will be part of the busy preparation area, ensuring ingredients are prepared to the highest standards and used in the manufacturing process.

This physical role involves heavy lifting and manual handling, with training provided. Strong numeracy and literacy, plus safe working with others, are valued as you contribute to delivering great products to retailers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is beneficial.
• Good level of numeracy and literacy, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Work in the production/preparation area to ensure ingredients meet high quality standards.
• Assist in preparing raw materials for product manufacturing.
• Manual handling and heavy lifting involved; follow safety practices.

What you'll be doing

• You will be an essential part of production, working in the busy preparation area ensuring the ingredients are prepared to the highest quality and standards.
• Working as part of the high-risk team preparing raw materials and ingredients to be used to make the products.
• This is a physical role that requires some heavy lifting
• Manual handling experience desirable
• Food prep and handling experience desirable

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with manufacturing machinery would be an advantage, however, we offer full training and support is offered.
• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills both verbal and written
• Has a keen eye for detail and can demonstrate working in a safe manner and to good H&S practices
• Able to liaise and communicate with other departments
• Basic Awareness and understanding of Food, Health, and Safety
• Flexible
