Job summary

Greencore Group Northampton is seeking a dedicated Nut Pod operative for a permanent, full-time night shift (Sun-Thurs/Tues-Sat/Mon-Fri, 22:00-06:30). You will prepare and process raw materials in a high-risk production area, with comprehensive training provided.

This role handles nuts and nut-based ingredients, so suitability for those with nut allergies must be considered. Based at Unit D Greencore Northampton, NN3 6RX, you’ll join a fast-moving team committed to food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills (verbal and written).
• Keen eye for detail and adherence to H&S practices.
• Able to follow management instructions and procedures.
• Able to liaise and communicate with other departments.
• Basic awareness of Food, Health, and Safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Role in Nut Pod preparation area, ensuring ingredients meet quality and safety standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will play a key role within our Nut Pod preparation area, ensuring ingredients are prepared and handled to the highest quality, food safety, and production standards.
• Working as part of the high-risk production team, you will prepare and process raw materials and ingredients used in the manufacture of our products.
• This is a physically demanding role that involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Previous food preparation or food handling experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Please note that this role is based within our Nut Pod area, where nuts and nut-based ingredients are handled and processed. Therefore, this position may not be suitable for individuals with nut allergies due to the nature of the working environment.
