Job summary

Greencore is recruiting for a permanent, full-time role at our Atherstone site. You will set up, operate, and monitor food processing equipment such as slicers, dicers, and mixers to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality.

You will perform routine quality checks, complete paperwork, and follow all food safety and health & safety procedures. A supportive team environment and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Experience operating food preparation machinery.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn new processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor preparation equipment including slicers, dicers, mixers, and other food processing machinery.
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and achieve production targets.
• Carry out routine quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Complete and sign off machine cleaning and sanitation in line with cleaning schedules and company standards.
• Report machine faults, breakdowns, or quality concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team objectives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production requirements.

Shift Pattern/ Time: 4 on 2 off, 05:30 - 14:00

Rate: £15.37p/h

What you'll be doing
