Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Clinical Fellow in Prenatal/Clinical Genetics in the Department of Clinical Genetics. The post is fixed term for 6 months and commences on 01/02/2027.

Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the start date. The role is suitable for doctors from a range of specialties and can be tailored to training needs in prenatal and postnatal genetics, with potential to work

Qualifications

• GMC registration and license to practice by start date.
• Open to doctors from a range of specialties, with interest in clinical genetics, obstetrics, or paediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Join a large clinical genetics service with an established prenatal team.
• Provide direct patient care in clinic and throughout the clinical pathway.
• Contribute to prenatal and fetal medicine MDT meetings and training requirements.
• Tailor responsibilities and training to prior experience and training year curriculum.
• Opportunity to gain broader experience within a large genetics service with prenatal focus.
