Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Neonatal Clinical Fellow based at St James University Hospital in Leeds. This fixed-term post runs for 12 months and is suitable for applicants at ST4+ or Registrar level with paediatrics/neonatology experience.

The role is part of a large MDT, with support from Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and tertiary Neonatal Consultants, and includes involvement in Level 2 service development and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be GMC-registered and hold a licence to practise by start date.
• Experience in paediatrics and neonatology.
• Experience on a Tier 2 NHS rota.
• Ability to lead service development and quality improvement.
• Strong teaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on the SJUH clinical rota to provide medical cover for the SCU/HDU cots.
• Work clinically in ICU/HDU at LGI on an ad hoc basis.
• Lead service development projects with oversight from the clinical lead.
• Contribute to MDT discussions and present at CSU/ODN meetings.
