Job summary

Lookers is seeking a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant for its Mercedes Benz division, with responsibilities across Tonbridge and Stourbridge dealerships. The role supports daily financial operations, analysis of dealership performance, and month-end processes.

37.5 hours Monday-Friday, with a salary of £28,000 - £32,000. You will work under the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager, owning allocated dealerships and contributing to accurate reporting and performance

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of core accounting disciplines.
• Proven performance within a commercial finance environment.
• Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards one is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in daily financial operations.
• Analyse dealership performance and maintain accuracy across transactional accounting.
• Own allocated BMW dealerships within the division and assist with month-end close.

Division Assistant Accountant - Mercedes Benz

Location: Tonbridge Mercedes Benz or Stourbridge Mercedes Benz

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 basic salary DOE

Hours: 37.5 (Monday-Friday 9-5pm)

We're looking for a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant to support financial performance across our Mercedes Benz division and associated dealerships.

As a Division Assistant Accountant, you'll provide essential support to the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager, ensuring the smooth running of daily financial operations. You'll analyse dealership performance, maintain accuracy and integrity across all transactional accounting, and play a key role in the month-end close. You'll take ownership of allocated BMW dealerships within the division.
