Lookers Limited is seeking a Division Assistant Accountant to support financial performance across our Essex dealerships. You will assist the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager with daily financial operations and month-end close, focusing on accurate transactional accounting for allocated dealerships.

The role requires solid accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with dealer management systems.

Qualifications

• Understanding of relevant accounting disciplines.
• Track record of good performance in a commercial finance environment.
• Accountancy qualification or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in daily financial operations across the division.
• Analyze the financial performance of the Division and ensure accuracy of all transactional accounting.
• Assist with month-end close and ensure accuracy for allocated dealerships within the division.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 basic salary DOE

Hours: 37.5 (Monday-Friday 9-5pm)

We’re looking for commercially focused Division Assistant Accountants to support financial performance across our dealerships.

The Division Assistant Accountant will provide essential support to the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in managing the daily financial operations of the Division. The focus of this position is to analyse the financial performance of the Division, ensure the accuracy and integrity of all transactional accounting and assist with the month-end close. The role holder will be responsible for allocated dealerships within division.

What you’ll bring:

• A good understanding of the relevant accounting disciplines.
• Track record of good performance in a commercial finance environment.
• An Accountancy qualification or working towards is advantageous, but not essential: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent body).
• Expert proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of the Motor Industry and Dealer Management systems
