Job summary

Lookers is seeking a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant for the BMW Stoke division. You will support the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager, analyse dealership performance, and ensure accurate transactional accounting.

You’ll help drive the month-end close and take ownership of allocated BMW dealerships within the division. The role demands a solid grounding in core accounting, finance experience, and strong Excel skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of core accounting disciplines.
• Proven performance within a commercial finance environment.
• Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or working towards one is advantageous but not essential.
• Expert proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of motor industry and Dealer Management Systems.

Division Assistant Accountant – BMW Stoke

Location: BMW Stoke

Salary: £27,500 - £40,000 basic salary DOE

Hours: 37.5 (Monday-Friday 9-5pm)

We’re looking for a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant to support financial performance across our BMW Stoke division and associated dealerships.

As a Division Assistant Accountant, you’ll provide essential support to the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager, ensuring the smooth running of daily financial operations. You’ll analyse dealership performance, maintain accuracy and integrity across all transactional accounting, and play a key role in the month‑end close. You’ll take ownership of allocated BMW dealerships within the division.
