Job summary

Lookers Motor Group Limited is seeking a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant to support the Mercedes Benz division across dealerships in Tonbridge and Stourbridge. You will assist the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager with daily financial operations, analyze dealership performance, and help with month-end processes.

The ideal candidate has strong core accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency, and an understanding of Dealer Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of core accounting disciplines.
• Proven experience in a commercial finance environment.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or working towards is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in daily financial operations.
• Analyze dealership performance and ensure accuracy across transactional accounting.
• Assist with month-end close and ownership of allocated Mercedes Benz dealerships.

Division Assistant Accountant – Mercedes Benz

Location: Tonbridge Mercedes Benz or Stourbridge Mercedes Benz

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 basic salary DOE

Hours: 37.5 (Monday-Friday 9-5pm)

We're looking for a commercially focused Division Assistant Accountant to support financial performance across our Mercedes Benz division and associated dealerships.

As a Division Assistant Accountant, you'll provide essential support to the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager, ensuring the smooth running of daily financial operations. You'll analyse dealership performance, maintain accuracy and integrity across all transactional accounting, and play a key role in the month-end close. You'll take ownership of allocated BMW dealerships within the division.

What You’ll Bring

• A solid understanding of core accounting disciplines
• Proven performance within a commercial finance environment
• An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards one is advantageous but not essential
• Expert proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of the motor industry and Dealer Management Systems
