Job summary

The Charter Schools Educational Trust is seeking a driven Premises Manager to lead the day-to-day management of the school site in London. You will ensure health and safety compliance, oversee maintenance, and manage contractors, reporting to the Headteacher and Business Manager.

Qualifications

• We require comprehensive knowledge of health and safety law and trust-wide compliance.
• We expect ability to prioritise, respond to emergencies and manage issues on site.
• Experience in supervising staff and coordinating with contractors is essential.
• Strong communication with senior leaders and stakeholders is needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the school premises and site operations.
• Supervise premises team and external contractors to maintain safety and functionality.
• Implement estates policies and compliance systems at school level.
• Report to Headteacher (and Business Manager in some settings) on site issues.
• Ensure buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, compliant and well maintained.
