Job summary

William Barcroft Junior School in Cleethorpes is hiring a Premises Cleaner to join our site team. You will help create a safe, hygienic learning environment by cleaning floors, windows and work surfaces to high standards, both independently and as part of a team.

The role is permanent, 25 hours per week during term time plus 5 days (39 weeks a year) with a pro rata salary of £14,737. Closing date 25 September 2026, start date ASAP.

We have a vacancy for a Premises Cleaner and we are looking for reliable and committed individuals to work within our existing teams. You must be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable and be a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude and be able to work as part of a team as well as working alone.

The role:

Location: William Barcroft Junior School, Cleethorpes

Contract: Permanent, 25 hours per week, term time plus 5 days (39 weeks a year)

Salary Scale: Scale 1, point 3 (£25,614 FTE) Pro Rata Salary: £14,737

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain High Standards: Use professional domestic and industrial equipment to clean floors, windows, and work surfaces to a specified quality.
• Ensure Safety & Hygiene: Replenish essential supplies and strictly follow Health and Safety requirements to protect our school community.
• Care for our Site: Perform routine equipment checks, manage waste removal, and report any maintenance issues or vandalism promptly.
• Support our Pupils: Monitor student conduct and intervene when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors and staff.
