Job summary

Healing Academy in Grimsby is seeking a Premises Cleaner to join our site team. You will help create a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for pupils by cleaning floors, windows and work surfaces to high standards.

This is a permanent, 20 hour per week role during term-time plus 15 days (41 weeks per year). Hours are Monday to Friday, 14:45–18:45. Salary: Scale 1, point 3 (£25,614 FTE) with a pro-rata £12,394. Closing date is 9 October 2026; start date ASAP.

We have a vacancy for a Premises Cleaner and we are looking for reliable and committed individuals to work within our existing teams. You must be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable and be a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude and be able to work as part of a team as well as working alone. The role:

  • Location: Healing Academy, Grimsby

  • Contract: Permanent, 20 hours per week, Term time plus 15 days (41 weeks per year)

  • Salary Scale: Scale 1, point 3 (£25,614 FTE)

  • Pro Rata Salary £12,394

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 14:45-18:45

  • Closing Date: Midday 9th October 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain High Standards: Use professional domestic and industrial equipment to clean floors, windows, and work surfaces to a specified quality.

  • Ensure Safety & Hygiene: Replenish essential supplies and strictly follow Health and Safety requirements to protect our school community.

  • Care for our Site: Perform routine equipment checks, manage waste removal, and report any maintenance issues or vandalism promptly.

  • Support our Pupils: Monitor student conduct and intervene when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors and staff.
