Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Premises Assistant for a primary school in Lewisham. You will support the smooth day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site, carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.

The role involves ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, opening and closing the premises, moving furniture, assisting contractors, conducting health and safety checks, and helping to welcome pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Location: Lewisham, South East London. Full-time, long-term opportunity.

The Role

As a Premises Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site.

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school
• Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained
• Supporting with opening and closing the school premises
• Moving furniture and equipment when required
• Assisting with deliveries and contractors
• Carrying out health and safety checks
• Maintaining outdoor areas and playgrounds
• Reporting maintenance issues and supporting the Site Manager where needed
• Helping to ensure the school provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors
