Job summary

HSBC in Guernsey is seeking an Area Director to lead the Premier team and oversee a portfolio across banking, lending, investments and insurance. You will coach relationship managers, drive high-quality client service and align with HSBC standards.

You will strengthen HSBC’s local presence, manage performance, and deliver growth while maintaining strong client relationships in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 4 Financial Planning Diploma and demonstrate holistic financial planning experience.
• Experience as a Wealth Adviser, IFA, Financial Planning Manager or similar role.
• Apply deep knowledge of wealth products to client needs and deliver needs-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Guernsey Premier Team to meet islands customers’ banking, lending, investment and insurance needs.
• Manage a portfolio of customers and advise on holistic financial planning as a trusted adviser.
• Coach and develop relationship managers to strengthen capability and performance.
• Apply operating model and guidelines to deliver consistent people management, service and sales outcomes.
• Build internal and external connections to strengthen HSBC’s presence in Guernsey.
