Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Maternity Smokefree Advisor to support pregnant smokers and their families to quit. You will deliver behavioural support and guide nicotine replacement therapy, with training provided to become level 2 trained.

The role covers a caseload over two to three months and requires travel between hospital sites and patient homes. Experience in Maternity Services or Public Health is desirable, and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• Experience in Maternity Services and/or Public Health is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Pro-active and enthusiastic with a supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide stop smoking support throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period.
• Work with the Smoking in Pregnancy Specialist Leads.
• Assist with administration of the smokefree pregnancy data collection.
