Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Technician for a 3‑month contract in Southampton. You will assemble, fit and finish components in a busy workshop, reading engineering drawings and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes precise workmanship, tools handling, and collaboration with a small team to meet production targets. Ideally you will have carpentry or joinery background with experience in a workshop setting and be comfortable working to tight tolerances

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to meet tight tolerances.
• Ability to work well in a small workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and finish components using hand and power tools to defined standards.
• Interpret drawings and ensure correct dimensions, orientation and fit.
• Carry out precision measurement and inspection of parts using gauges and calipers.
