Job summary

TEAM, Inc. in Cumbria is seeking a skilled workshop engineer to support the manufacture of leak sealing hardware, precision components and related equipment in a busy workshop.

You will read engineering drawings, operate a range of machines, and help keep paperwork and housekeeping to high standards, with potential overtime to meet deadlines. The role is on-site and requires flexibility to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Have a recognised Engineering apprenticeship / qualification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read Engineering drawings.
• Ability to use the range of workshop and engineering machines and hand held equipment.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Shift pattern may be applicable dependent upon business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and flexible service in the manufacture of Leak Sealing hardware, precision and general fabricated and machined components and associated equipment.
• Where possible support other areas of the workshop to assist with job completion.
• Inform the Workshop Manager of any anticipated delays to achieving deadlines on any work being carried out.
• Inform Workshop Manager of equipment / materials shortages which may affect day to day working.
• To work within the scope of quality assurance, safety and job procedures.
• To complete all relevant paperwork associated with daily production activities.
• To ensure machinery, equipment and personal protective equipment are maintained and to assist in the general housekeeping.
• When required work a reasonable amount of overtime to ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Ensure good housekeeping within the workshop at all times.
• Have flexibility with regard to teamwork and getting the job done.
• Actively promote the Core Values within all work based activities.
