McGeoch Technology Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a Waterjet Operator to join their expanding manufacturing team.

You will set up and operate water jet and laser cutting machines, load and unload materials safely, and monitor performance to meet daily targets. The role requires reading engineering drawings when required, carrying out quality inspections with measuring equipment, and reporting defects promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing machinery (water jet, laser, CNC or similar preferred).
• Read engineering drawings (desirable).
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Able to read measuring equipment (verniers, tape measures).

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate water jet and laser cutting machines.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment to ensure products meet specification.
• Identify defects or production issues and report them promptly.
• Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance checks.
• Ensure materials are correctly identified and handled.
• Work to production schedules and meet daily output targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
