Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is supporting a leading manufacturer in Loughborough to recruit an experienced SMT Operator for a temp-to-perm position. You will join the production team to help deliver high-quality PCB assemblies.

The role focuses on setting up and operating SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines and reflow ovens, with emphasis on accuracy, documentation and continuous improvement in a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT production set-up, operation and basic maintenance.
• Ability to read PCB layouts, BOMs and work instructions.
• Good understanding of electronics manufacturing quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SMT production equipment to manufacture PCB assemblies.
• Load components, feeders and stencils for production.
• Carry out program changes and adjustments as needed.
• Monitor processes for component placement and soldering accuracy.
• Perform visual and automated inspections of PCB assemblies.
• Record production parameters and quality data accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
