Job summary

OSI Electronics, UK is seeking an SMT Operator to set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic surface mount machines, including robotic assembly equipment, for PCB assembly. The role involves feeding materials, adjusting settings, minor repairs, and pulling finished products from the line, while ensuring tolerance checks and process adherence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Surface Mount Assembly processes within last 10 years.
• Familiar with lean concepts and waste reduction.
• IPC-610 qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SMT assembly machinery and AOI for inline inspection.
• Read process sheets and ensure accuracy of placement and printing.
• Maintain high quality standards and documentation in MES system.
• Escalate issues to supervisor with recommended corrective actions.
• Keep the workstation clean and adhere to OSI quality policies.
