Job summary

Industrious Recruitment is seeking a highly organised Sample Inventory & Logistics Coordinator for a specialist warehouse environment in Milton Keynes. You will manage accurate receipt, storage, tracking, retrieval and despatch of biological samples, following SOPs and quality procedures.

Candidates should have warehouse, stock control or logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent computer/system skills with WMS/ERP/LIMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stock control or logistics operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong computer skills; quick to learn new software.
• Experience with WMS/ERP or database systems; LIMS a plus.
• Good numerical and data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to follow defined processes and SOPs.
• Self-motivated with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and recording incoming samples and materials.
• Storing items in correct locations and updating inventory.
• Picking and retrieving samples to meet requirements.
• Despatching samples in line with client and regulatory requirements.
• Managing Goods In/Goods Out processes.
• Maintaining up-to-date stock records.
• Updating LIMS and inventory systems.
• Operating storage systems (manual and automated).
• Monitoring storage temperatures and alarms.
• Supporting safe disposal of samples.
• Keeping areas clean, organized and safe.
• Collaborating across labs, warehouse, and inventory teams.
• Following SOPs and quality procedures.
• Identifying discrepancies and reporting issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement.
• Training and supporting colleagues.
