Job summary
Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks a Quality Inspector for a full-time, permanent position in Birmingham. You will perform dimensional inspections on high‑tolerance components using CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers and gauges, ensuring products meet strict tolerances and customer specifications.
You will verify documentation, certificates of conformity, and traceability, while supporting calibration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience as Quality Inspector in high-precision manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
- Hands-on use of measuring instruments and CMM/optical systems.
Responsibilities
- No programming of CMMs but must operate a CMM or similar equipment.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final dimensional inspections.
- Inspect ceramic/high-tolerance parts for surface defects and defects.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and CoCs.
- Identify NCRs and support CAPA with engineering and production.
- Assist with calibration schedules for shop-floor tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement to raise yield and quality.
