Job summary

Laborup is seeking Quality Inspectors to join a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment in Birmingham. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision‑machined components to ensure compliance with engineering specs and customer quality standards.

You will interpret GD&T and drawings, and use micrometers, calipers, CMMs and other inspection tools. This role offers exposure to advanced inspection technology and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience performing first article and in-process inspections.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision‑machined components.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify nonconforming product and support root cause investigations.
• Maintain a clean, calibrated inspection area.
