Job summary

Owen Daniels seeks a Quality Inspector for a high-precision manufacturing environment in Northampton on a 3 month Outside IR35 contract with immediate start. You will perform dimensional and manual inspections against engineering drawings and quality standards.

You will operate CMM equipment, use precision measurement tools, and help calibrate inspection gear while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience in a precision engineering environment (e.g., motorsport, automotive).
• Confident reading and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensional measurement techniques.
• CMM operation experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out dimensional and manual inspection of precision-engineered components.
• Inspecting components against drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Using a range of precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Supporting calibration and ensuring inspection equipment remains accurate and fit for use.
• Operating CMM equipment and carrying out programmed inspections where required.
• Identifying and reporting non-conformances and quality issues.
• Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
