Job summary
Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a precision engineering facility in Glasgow. You will programme and operate Mitutoyo CMMs and conventional inspection tools to inspect first-off, in-process and final components, ensuring they meet tight tolerances. You will generate FAI reports and support ISO 9001 audits.
The role offers a clear path for progression, with training, and a structured early Friday finish in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Experience programming and operating CMM machinery.
- Inspect first-off, in-process and final components to meet specs.
- Produce First Article Inspection Reports and assist with audits.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 audits and quality systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality standards by carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision CNC machined components
- Operate and programme Mitutoyo CMM equipment and conventional inspection equipment
- Produce First Article Inspection Reports and support customer inspections
- Support internal and external ISO 9001 audits
- Monday to Friday, days only, early finish Friday
