Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer (Precision Engineering) to own inspection across production, ensuring components meet exacting specs in a new Glasgow facility. You will program and operate Mitutoyo CMMs, run first-off, in-process and final inspections, and support ISO 9001 audits while enjoying a generous training and progression path.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within precision engineering.
• Proficient with CMM programming/operation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 audits preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

• Ensure quality standards by carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision CNC machined components.
• Operate and programme Mitutoyo CMM equipment and conventional inspection equipment.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports and support customer inspections.
• Support internal and external ISO 9001 audits.
• Monday to Friday, days only, early finish Friday.

Are you a Quality Inspector, or Quality Engineer, with a background in precision engineering, looking to join a high-quality manufacturer that has recently moved into a brand-new facility? On offer is the chance to join one of Scotland's leading precision engineering companies, with over 55 years of experience producing complex, tight-tolerance machined components and assemblies for the Defence, Aerospace, Satellite, Electronics and medical sectors. You will take ownership of inspection activities throughout the production process, covering first-off, in-process and final inspection, ensuring all components meet customer specifications and exacting quality standards. This will include programming and operating CMM machines whilst also using standard measurement tools, such as gauges and profilometers. Additionally, you will produce first article inspection reports along with assisting with ISO 9001 audits. This role would suit a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer who is proficient in operating CMM equipment.
