Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Press Toolmaker to join a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing company in Redditch. You will manufacture, maintain, assemble and repair high-precision press tools to meet strict quality standards.

The role requires hands-on CNC machining and wire EDM experience, excellent interpretation of engineering drawings, and strong problem-solving skills. A time-served apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker in press tooling.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining.
• Experience with wire EDM operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, repair, and modify press tools, progression tools, and blanking tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect components and verify tolerances.
• Troubleshoot tool-related issues on the shop floor to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
