Job summary

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing in Sheffield is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operator to join a busy production facility. You will operate diverse machinery, process materials, and perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

This role offers hands-on training, teamwork across shifts, and opportunities for development in a safety-focused environment with clear production targets. A bonus scheme is available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
• Experience with band saws, straighteners or grinders in metals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of manufacturing machinery in accordance with production requirements.
• Process materials and components to meet specified quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure products conform to customer and internal specifications.
• Prepare finished products for shipment and support dispatch activities.
• Inspect incoming packaging and transport containers to verify suitability for use.
• Carry out safe material handling with lifting and transportation equipment.
• Accurately complete production records and documentation.
• Ensure all tasks comply with quality and health & safety procedures.
