Job summary
Senior plc, via its Lymington Precision Engineers unit, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the UK to develop and optimise precision manufacturing processes for high-integrity components. You will work with CNC programmers, inspectors and teams to ensure safe, efficient, right-first-time production in defence and nuclear-relevant sectors.
The role emphasizes process control, root-cause analysis and cost reduction, with responsibilities spanning from design concept through to high-volume
Qualifications
- HNC/HND/degree in ManufacturingEngineering or related discipline.
- Experience in precision manufacturing environments with high-integrity parts.
- Lean, Six Sigma or APQP qualifications are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods and control docs.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to shop floor and resolve issues.
- Support NPI, review drawings, tolerances and manufacturability.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Work with CNC programmers, machinists and inspectors to optimise processes.
- Maintain traceability of materials, processes and inspection evidence.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
