Job summary

Catering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Skelmersdale site. You will programme, set up and optimise CNC, grinding and milling machines, and develop tooling to boost efficiency while ensuring quality.

You’ll create SOPs, train setters and operators, and monitor production against targets. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll work in a fast-moving, international-scale environment with automotive and aerospace-grade contracts, driving continuous improvement and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD and engineering drawings.
• Proven CNC programming and setting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and quality focus.
• Hands-on, proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set up and optimise machine tool controls (CNC, grinding, milling).
• Provide technical training and support to setters and operatives.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Manage product development from enquiry to production.
• Design tooling and fixtures to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality and capability.
• Support investigation/resolution of quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
