Job summary

Omega is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (CNC) to join the aerospace division and support the Manufacturing Engineering department across milling and mill-turn applications. You will author and approve manufacturing processes, program CNC activities, and drive RCCA to improve productivity and quality.

The role requires hands-on machining experience, GD&T proficiency, and offline CAD/CAM programming. Opportunities to develop the ME function with new technologies are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/Engineering apprenticeship or higher.
• Hands-on machining experience.
• Experience with 5-axis mills or mill/turn machining centres.
• Familiar with GD&T.
• Offline programming using CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Authoring and approving manufacturing processes and process specifications.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll need to possess excellent experience in CNC machining practices and processes including programming and CAD/CAM knowledge.

DUTIES - Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

• Perform problem solving and root cause corrective actions (RCCA).
• Provide technical, machining task planning and authorisation.

BACKGROUND -Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

• Manufacturing / Engineering Apprenticeship or above.
• Previous Hands-on Machining experience
• Experience with 5-axis mills or Mill/Turn machining centres.
• Confident with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Offline programming using CAD/CAM software

Candidates who are currently a Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programmer, Production Engineer, Production Manager, Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Team Leader, Continuous Improvement Engineer and similar may be considered.
