Job summary

Manual Universal Grinder role in the South Birmingham area within a precision engineering environment. You will set up and operate manual grinding machines to produce tight tolerances on high‑quality components.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with manual grinding, reading engineering drawings, and using measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges and dial indicators. Monday to Friday, day shift with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating manual universal grinding machines.
• Precision engineering experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual universal grinding machines.
• Carry out cylindrical, internal and external grinding.
• Dress grinding wheels and adjust machines to achieve tolerances.
• Inspect components with precision measuring equipment.
