Job summary

Mars Recruitment is seeking a Magnet Assembly Technician for sites in Oxfordshire (Shippon/Abingdon). You will join a manufacturing team, assemble and test high-tech products to spec, and adapt builds to each design.

The role suits mechanically biased technicians with qualifications in machining, welding, electrical assembly, and fault-finding. Excellent communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship or NVQ.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and production roles.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, leak detection, and electrical assembly.
• Ability to fault find and repair with analytical approach.
• Effective communication written and verbal with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test products to specification before delivery.
• Work across varied build requirements and adapt assemblies as designs change.
• Support high-tech manufacturing with fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing team to meet design specs and quality standards.
