Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment is seeking a Precision Machining Technician for a well established manufacturer in Taunton. You will perform mounting, machining, cleaning and checking of precision components, following drawings and strict safety standards. The role is a 35-hour week, with standard day shifts, onsite in the UK.

Experience in machining is preferred, but recent graduates will be considered. Level 2/3 in Engineering is desirable and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK

Qualifications

• Follow drawings and works instructions to manufacture components
• Meet Health & Safety/COSHH standards in daily tasks
• Operate in a small team environment on a standard day shift

Job description

A well established manufacturer of components for electronic, optoelectronic and semiconductor products is now looking for a Precision Machining Technician to carrying out various machining and associated processes in the production of precision components.

The role will involve mounting, machining, cleaning off & checking work amongst other associated production tasks.

You will work following drawings and works instructions, ensuring you meet the high Health & Safety/COSHH standards.

You will be working in a small team working 35 hours per week on standard day shifts with flexibility.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous machining experience would be preferred, but also a person not long out of college would be considered.
• Level 2/3 in Engineering preferred.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.

Salary / benefits:

c £24-26k per annum / £13.41-14.41 per hour depending upon experience
