Job summary

OA Group is seeking an experienced Control Panel Builder for a well established client in Great Gransden, Bedfordshire. You will build and wire low‑voltage control panels (single & three‑phase; 24V DC), interpret EPLAN schematics, mechanical layouts and BOMs, and install devices such as relays, drives, HMIs and PLCs (Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley or Siemens).

Qualifications

Experience in electrical panel building.
Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical layouts.
Familiar with AC and DC control systems.
High attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Build and wire low-voltage control panels (single & three-phase; 24V DC).
Interpret EPLAN schematics, mechanical layouts, and BOMs.
Install and terminate devices such as circuit protection, relays, solenoid valves, drives, HMIs, PLCs.
Work on panels including junction boxes, HMI enclosures, MCCs, and multi-door cabinets.
Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
Measure and mark on materials (stainless steel, GRP, mild/galvanised steel).
Perform continuity testing and basic functional checks.
Maintain a clean, organized working area.
Collaborate with design and test engineers under supervision.
