Job summary

HR GO Group in Harlow, Essex, is seeking an experienced Production / Line Technician for a fast-paced, automated food manufacturing facility. The role covers machine operation, fault finding, preventative maintenance, quality control, and process improvements to ensure safety, efficiency, and top product quality.

You'll work a rotating 2-week shift pattern (06:00-14:15 and 14:00-22:15) with occasional weekend coverage, contributing to continuous improvement and strong GMP adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or automated production.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating and maintaining production machinery.
• Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-speed production and packaging equipment.
• Ensure targets, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
• Carry out machine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments.
• Monitor line performance and minimize downtime.
• Support production within a hygiene-controlled environment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic).
• Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance actions.
• Assist engineering during maintenance and breakdowns.
• Escalate complex issues and maintain logs.
